| Job Description |
Many of our tutors have previous experience as a tutor or work as teachers, but experience is not required and is only one of many factors used to evaluate an applicant. Tutors who are already providing services to students, either on their own or through another company, are welcome to also apply with us. We cover most K-12 academic subjects, as well as a wide variety of college and adult education topics. Most requests for services are for Algebra, Geometry and Algebra 2 students, along with test preparation for the SAT test and the USA High School Proficiency Exam. | Candidate Requirements |
Tutor applicants should have the following qualities:- The ability to create the right learning atmosphere to meet individual student needs
- Are computer literate with frequent access to the internet
- Have reliable/private transportation to commute to the student
- The ability to relate to students, parents and teachers
- Expertise in a specific subject area
- Desire to increase the confidence level as well as the academic success of a student
- Patience to deal with all learning styles
- Are punctual to scheduled meeting and at returning messages
- A positive attitude
- Are authoritative, yet compassionate
